In addition to volunteering for street team duties, entering fan club contests, holding fund raisers and promoting Queensr˙che in creative ways. Some highlights for us…
- The NCSE proudly won 1st place and $500 in Queensr˙che merchandise in the 2006 Street Team contest held by the fan club to promote the release of Operation: Mindcrime II.
- Three of our members are pictured in the front row, wearing their finest NCSE attire on the Mindcrime At The Moore CD and DVD covers. And a few of our members can be seen in the audience on the DVD.
- Another contest the Campaign held was to raise money for the Seattle Harvest Food Bank. Two of our members handcrafted an awesome Queensr˙che themed quilt that traveled to select shows on tour and raised over $5,000 by selling $10 raffle tickets. 100% of the proceeds went to the food bank. Our girls were the top money makers, winning the grand prize of dinner with Geoff Tate!!
- For the Design A Fan Club Tshirt Contest, 10 finalists were chosen out of 500 entries. 2 of the finalists were designed by NCSE members!
- We raised and donated over $250 in Queensr˙che’s name to VH1’s Save The Music Foundation.
- LaraR˙cher and JenQ2K made and donated another wonderful quilt in 2008 with a "Take Cover" theme. Selling raffle tickets for $10 each, they incredibly raised more than $9,000 with 100% of the proceeds going to various food banks, feeding many hungry families across the country.
- DoctorM won a Sign Of The Times lithograph which is signed by 7 members of the band in one of the trivia contests held on Queensr˙che.com
- Iota & LaraR˙cher won the trip of a lifetime in the All Access with Queensr˙che silent auction. These lucky two got to be a part of the R˙che's tour entourage on their 2008 European tour for an incredible 38 days!
- I (Roxie) was the winner of the “Ryche The Vote” contest by sending in a patriotic photo of myself after voting in the ‘08 Presidential election. The prize was a whopping $300 in spending money at the Queensr˙che shop! Click here for my winning photo!
- DoctorM and myself (Roxie) submitted entries to the "Make Your Own Queensr˙che Video" contest held on the band's website. I'm proud and honored to have been chosen the winner and received $150 in R˙che merchandise of my choosing. Click here to see my winning video! And HERE! for DoctorM's entry.
- On June 4th, 2009 at the Fillmore in San Francisco, the NCSE hosted a soundcheck/preshow party to raise money for the National Military Family Association. Due to the generous donations from our guests, we raised $940 for our fighting men and women and their families.
These are just a few of the things we are very proud of and hope to continue as long as Queensr˙che keeps Spreading The Disease and making the music that moves us to act. If the NCSE sounds like the place for you and you want to join us, please click on membership for instructions. Thank you and RźCHE HARD whenever possible!!
